Ep. 2 The Nature of Revelation
Scripture matters. Scripture makes all the difference between life and death. We need to be clear on the nature and the distinctiveness of our Bible and to do that we need to understand there are three categories of information that exist: General Revelation, Special Revelation, and Knowledge. Anthropology, the study of man, requires a biblical worldview. We can claim we have a biblical worldview, but if we do not see things the exact way or categorize things the exact way the Bible does, then we do not have a biblical worldview. In our human nature, we are inherently materialists and naturalists. Although we acknowledge there is a supernatural world and that there is God, we look at everything as having a natural cause. The doctrine of sin, hamartiology, is not as simple as it seems. Throughout Scripture, there is a vast amount of knowledge given to us about the depths of the depravity of man.
